Actress Eden Actor now, director eventually
 Raj Bharath, the son of film producer and director Malliyam Rajagopal, is known for his appearances in Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu and Onaayum Aatukuttiyum. He now awaits the release of his next film, Andhra Mess, which has been unduly delayed. He isn’t perturbed though. “I understand that these things happen, but I have moved on and have completed another film called Natpathigaram 79, in which I play the lead. The film is scheduled for a January release. Meanwhile, I am also working on Sigai, a suspense thriller,” he says. Raj also intends to turn director eventually, just like his father. “I assisted Ravichandran during the making of Natpathigaram 79, to gain experience in the field of direction. But right now, I am completely focussed on acting.”
    First full-length role
 Director-actor S. A. Chandrasekhar plays a 73-year-old man in Naiya Pudai, marking his first full-length role. “As I am 70-years-old, this role of a 73-year-old is quite relatable. The character I play is a strict disciplinarian and a systematic person. He’s an army veteran in this intense drama loaded with social messages. And… there’s some action too.” Acting along with him is Pa. Vijay, who plays a journalist in this film by Vijay Vikram. “It was producer Thanu who suggested that I do this role,” says Chandrasekhar.
    Rich dividends
 Actress Eden’s perseverance seems to have paid off. “After a long wait during which I avoided scripts in the horror genre, I now have three projects, all of which are completed and up for release,” she says. “First off the block will be a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual comedy thriller, Ini Varum Natkal, directed by Thulasidas. The film has only female actors, and my co-stars are Iniya, Nadhiya and Kovai Sarala. Next will be a Malayalam film, Kattumakkan, a family drama with a social message, in which I am paired with Rahul. The last will be A. R. Raihana’s maiden production in Tamil, in which I am paired with RJ Azar. The film, planned for a Pongal release, is a full-length comedy script by Vignesh Karthick.” Eden is now shooting for a Malayalam film with Maqbool Salmaan.
