Want to know your past and future? The makers of upcoming Tamil filmUrumeen have launched a fun game (www.urumeenpredictions.com) through which you can find out your past and future.
Director Sakthivel Perumalsamy says, “The film is raw and full of action; we wanted a fun game for people to play in the build-up to its release.”
Urumeen, which refers to the cunning fish that usually gives its predator the slip, was the title in his mind since the beginning. “The film revolves around revenge and spans three generations,” reveals the editor-turned-filmmaker, who has worked as an AD earlier in Pugaippadam and Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathile. While the first few minutes will feature motion capture animation, the action then moves to present-day Chennai, before going into flashback mode to the days of British rule.
Bobby Simha and Kalaiarasan play hero and villain, respectively, in this film that has music by Achu. “The villain was inspired by a real-life incident – something that I read in the papers – but made a little more stylish,” says the filmmaker.
